A Typical Session Format

Our training format is focused on reducing travel time while delivering consistent, targetting training for our athletes.

Group Workouts

Each session starts with a group workout. Throughout the next 10 weeks, group workouts are held every other Sunday. These workouts will be 2-3 hours long and consist of both physical workout and conversation topics related to the mental, technical and tactical side of ski racing. There will be a total of 6 group workouts, with the last being the USSA SkillsQuest Fitness Assessment.

At-Home Workout Plans & Challanges

Athletes will have access to our Granite Performance app where they will access their workout for the week. Workouts will be presented in a video created by one of our Granite Performance coaches. These plans may be adjusted for each athlete by a coach in one-on-one sessions. There will also be a mental training and nutritional topic each week accompanied by a worksheet or "challenge". There will be a total of 10 weeks of at-home training plans provided throughout the session.

One-on-one coaching sessions

Between group workouts, athletes will have a chance to schedule a 45 minute, one-on-one session with a coach via phone or video chat. In these sessions training plans will be reviewed and adjusted if needed, and mental training and goal setting sessions will be conducted per each individual athlete's needs. There will be an opportunity for athletes to have 5 one-on-one coaching calls in each session.
